Sorry to hear about Mary's passing and sincere sympathy to her family and friends. I grew up on a farm about a half mile away and we went to the same one room school-Riverview School on Riverview ridge. She was just a few years older than me but my brothers and I would go their family farm and play softball after all the farm chores were done for the day. I remember her brother John and sister Margaret as well. Mary's dad had a threshing machine and he used to go from farm to farm threshing oats for the other farmers. Her mom Alice used to come also and make pies for the workers before she went out to help the men with their work. The whole family were super people.. When my parents house burned on New Years Day about 1942 her parents took in our whole family of 7 people to live with them until they found other accommodations. I will always remember them. Rest in Peace Mary.

I will always remember Aunt Mary as a lively, feisty, sassy and funny woman. She was a good cook and friend. I miss her terribly.
