Marcella “Marci” Faber age 89 of Richland Center passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse, WI. She was born on April 16, 1928 in Plain, WI the daughter of John and Lillian (Liegel) Brickl. Marci was married on October 22, 1947 to Wayne Faber. Over the years, Marci enjoyed a variety of activities. She and Wayne loved dancing together and visited many dance halls. It was common to see Marci driving the tractor, sitting at her sewing machine, working in the kitchen, and planting her garden. She found time to make gifts for each family member every year for Christmas and other special occasions. In recent years, Marci became a “Techno Grandma” as she spent much time using her computer, iPad, and iPhone, even creating her own greeting cards. Faith was an integral part of her daily life. Marci was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Survivors include 9 children, Char Murphy of West Salem, Jo (Al) Knoeck of Naperville, IL, Doug (Brenda) Faber of Plain, Lynn (Jody) Newkirk of Richland Center, Dwayne (Cathie) Faber of Hillpoint, Vicki Faber (Tom Peckham) of Richland Center, Shelly (Randy) Schmidt of Lone Rock, Jacki Faber of Holmen, Jason (Heather) Faber of Plain, 30 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Jerry and John (Ginny) Brickl, a sister, Caroline Ederer, sister in-law Rose Brickl, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; 3 brothers, Ed, Ralph and Carly Brickl; 2 sisters, Elsie Alt and Margaret Mundth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Father Eric Berns will officiate with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Keyesville at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 PM at the Stafford Funeral Home where a rosary will be prayed at 1:30 PM. Visitation will also be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School.
