Subscription Update Obituary

Joanne E. Honer age 85 of Richland Center passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the Richland Hospital. She was born on October 9, 1931 in Muscoda, WI the daughter of Raymond and Berniece (Kreul) Bock.  She was married on September 25, 1954 to David Honer.  Joanne was a homemaker whose greatest joy was her family.  She was very proud of her two children and her very greatest pleasure was her 3 grandchildren and spending time with them.  There was nothing she would not do for her grandchildren and always attended any event in which they were participating.  She was known for her love of holidays and enjoyment of giving quirky gifts.  She was a lifelong member of St Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the St. Mary’s PCCW for many years. She worked for many years at the local polls during elections.  She was known by all as a very kind and generous woman. Survivors include her husband, David Honer of Richland Center, a son, Kevin (Anita) Honer of Spring Green, a daughter, Kathleen (Stephen) Collins of Baraboo, 3 grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Honer both of Spring Green, Patrick Collins of Manawa, WI, a sister, Janet Meinholz of Pewaukee, WI, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Berniece Bock.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center.  Monsignor Roger Scheckel will officiate with burial in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Muscoda on Friday at 1:45 P.M.  Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.  The family would like to thank Dr. Christine Richards, staff at the Richland Hospital and Pine Valley Community Village for their excellent care.   Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Online condolences available at The Stafford Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
