Duane L. Nachreiner age 86 of Plain passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 3, 1931 on the Loreto Ridge, in Plain, WI the son of Leo and Gladys (Hemberger) Nachreiner. He was married on October 18, 1950 to the former Lois Schwartz. He owned and operated Nachreiner Plumbing and Heating most of his life. Duane was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain and a past member of the Plain Fire and Ambulance for 34 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a master bologna maker and gardener. Survivors include his wife, Lois Nachreiner, 8 children, Janice (Joe) Zwettler, Dennis (Kathy), Leo (Mary), Jeanne (Jim) Munz, Teresa (James) Self, Pat (Kathy), Jim (Cathy), Lori (Mike) Dedrick, 19 grandchildren, Jim, Jonathon, Sarah, Mike, Nicole, Whitney, Katie, Kayla, Kelsey, Kennah, Olivia, Max, Molly, Mitch, Emily, MJ, Alex, Mick, Jack, 23 great grandchildren, 3 siblings, Marcelene Weigley, Donovan (Sally), Richard (Mary), in-laws, Bonnie Nachreiner, Mel Nachreiner, Gerald Kraemer, Carol Nachreiner, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Kelly Nachreiner, siblings and in-laws, Violet (Bill) Nelson, Russell, Reginald (Grace), Alton Weigley, Ferdie, Phyllis Kraemer, Maxine (Mike) Schauf, and Bob. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain, WI at 11:00 A.M. with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2017 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass.
