Alice Virginia Brock Uselman Reeve age 93 of Spring Green passed away at the Greenway Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. We mourn the loss of a great lady and we confidently entrust her to Jesus Christ who is our hope in both life and death. She was born in Osceola, WI on April 21, 1920 and spent most of her adult life in Spring Green with earlier years in Northern Minnesota. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Her compassion and kind spirit was always apparent in everything she did and to everyone she shared her life with. She was known for her avid reading, talents of love of music, acting on the stage, and writing extensively throughout her life. Her many writings, including her autobiography, inspired and made us feel privileged to have known her. Alice’s deep faith and prayers were also renowned among her family for problems needing help and resolutions. She is survived by her remaining four children and spouses, Mary Ellen (Clayton) Beck, Frances (Dale) Crawford, Donald (Mary) Uselman, David (Julie) Uselman, 2 daughters-in-law, Bette Jo Uselman and Patti Uselman, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Aune. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Arthur Brock, a brother, Wallace Brock, a sister, Donna Backstrom, 2 sons, Richard and Dennis Uselman, a granddaughter, Tracy Uselman, a grandson, Troy Uselman and former husbands, Frank Uselman and Russell Reeve. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green. Fr. Mike Resop will officiate with burial in the Mazomanie Cemetery next to her husband Russell on Friday, April 25, 2014. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
