I had the pleasure of getting to know Al while he was at the Terrace. He would always come to the activities to help decorate the many pumpkins, gingerbread men, Easter eggs and plant the spring flowers so everyone would have them to enjoy. We could always talked him into doing just 'one more' each time. Always warm-hearted and smiling. My deep sympathy to the Alt family. I will miss him too. Joanne Lobenstein

My deepest, deepest sympathies to all of your family on the death of Allie. I remember him only with a smile on his face. He was such a fun man to be around, always happy and laughing. He and Florence were just plain, good people. I'm sure you all have favorite memories of him. Hang on to them, cherish them, and when missing him is strong, remember them, and him. He raised such a great bunch of kids. You will always have each other. Even though I haven't seen some of you in years, I too have memories of the Alt get-togethers. They all enjoyed life to the fullest.

I will never forget this man. How can one forget a great neighbor who in an emergency situation taught you how to tie your first tie? I'll always be grateful and cherish that memory. Always a pleasant, helpful man and great person to talk to. I'm sure he is happy to be united with Florence. He always missed her so. His love and appreciation for her always amazed me. Goodbye old friend, and thank you.

My heart and love go out to the entire Alt family. Although your hearts are breaking with the loss of Alphonse I can't help but smile when I think of this man and his life. The stories of his life I have heard over the years from my dearest friends Allan and Sue. The amazing life Alphonse experienced over his near 100 years. What an incredible adventure. And the legacy he has left behind is a tribute to how Alphonse lived and loved life. The memories, heart and soul this man has instilled in all of you is certainly something to be treasured. Safe travels Alphonse, I know you will be watching over your family from above.
